Communication for work purpose ft. Our teacher's farewell.
Welcome back to my blog stars! So I decided to call all of my viewers as "Stars" it because when I'm writing I feel shining! Hahahhaha kidding! So for today's blog, I'm gonna tell y'all what my teacher Discussed to us last Wednesday! Its all about "Communication for work purpose"
Before Sir Rainer proceeds to the discussion he ask us "why communication in work is significant?" He called some random name and I'm the second before the last so my answer is "it is important because by communication we are sharing and gaining information and also for us to prevent misunderstanding"
Communication history
- Years age communication was limited to face to face interaction. Letters and writings were the next steps in the evolution of communication. Telephones were the next breakthrough in digital communication during the time of their popularity.
The negative side of Non- Digital
1. Face to face business action is not always a reasonable met recognize communication.
2. Peper notes or consumers ave to be left for someone and utilize manpower to deliver them.
3. Mail takes a long time to destination and doesn't allow a company to react quickly.
4.phone are still used to communicate in the business world today.
Need for policies
- with every new information, there must be a group of policies and procedures to govern the usage of the invention.
- computers are one of the greatest books invented the biggest time killer.
-computers have such a large range of tasks.
- facebook and twitter can be useful tools to get a company's name out there but a wrong message can also significantly hurt the company.
Advantages
-It is easier for a smaller business to get their name out there are recognize.
- records are easy to keep, consumers can give favorable viewers of the company through social media.
- information is easily shared.
Disadvantages
- markets are no longer a familiar zone cultural customs come into play.
-the time value can be different
- not being on time for a meeting way be on insult.
-appropriate attire may change
-the business may get lost in the clutter of the internet
-records can be corrected.
Long-Distance Communication
-community across markets and regions
- Global Communication is important in today's economic environment.
Advantages
-can be almost instant, time is money.
- the market is no longer limited geography
-allows the best of the best to be utilized as groups that span the globe.
Policies and Procedures for the digital age
-Help to manage the flow of communication control misissue
- gives records that show that employees know about certain policies and broke rules.
-protect the company against liabilities and help the image of the company against negative communication.
Positive Communication
-can increase the companies reputation
-companies can help customers to reach different demographics with positive comm.
- companies must carefully consider policies about comm. And written when dealing with social media and customer base.
Negative
-communication can ruin or strain customer relations.
- what you project about your company must be an accurate representation of the goals and values that the company was.
- policies that reflect this should include statements or core values.
GENERAL ACCEPTED PRINCIPLE

Electronic Communication
The ECPA was passed in 1986 to expand and raise deferral wore tapping and electronic eaves dropping provisions.
The proper procedure for digital comm.
1. Cutting cost
2. Making Comm. Through email
3. Working from home is possible
4. Travel expenses out due meeting made possible with skype
5. Able to expand just by being available online.

Nowadays generation is very resourceful, in just a blink of an eye, they have already the answer they want by using technology.
Communication technology enhances our skills. Its originated from the Latin word "communis" meaning common. It is also a transfer of thoughts and technical equipment, called communication technology.
Communication model
Communication Technology is used for four types distinct communication
•human to human
•human to machine
•machine to human
•machine to machine
Communication Technology as its finest.
1. Wave technology/Communication
- depend on the energy source
-called electromagnetic radiation
2. Graphic Technology
-communicated by using drawings,pictures, graph, photographs or words on a flat surface
3. Electronic Communication
-people can use light, sound or electrical waves to send information.
INTERNET
The mother of networks
Allows gathering information using the world wide web and exchange messages using electronic malt.
Communication System
attachments can also be made documents,graphics, videos. Yahoo,Gmail, Facebook.
Voice mail- can be sent through voice
Group wave
A program that helps people work together collectively while located remotely from each other.
GPS ( Global Positioning System)
Determining the geographical location of the reciever.
Radio
Transmitted from radio station broadcast tower.
Television
"tele" means "far away" and "vision" means sights
Fax machince
Small photo sensor with a lense and a light to scan document sent.
CD ROM
Stand for Digital Video Disk has ability to read and write.
Cellphones
Use for mobile voice or data communication over a network or specialist base station known as cell sites.
Telephone Networks
Integration- Network, Content Management.

Communication technology is important to us/ nowadays and to the near future because it makes our works easy but there is a negative effect when we use this everyday.

Week 1: Communication Aids and Strategies Using the tool of technology
My teacher discussion was about "Tips on making a PowerPoint presentation" and " Communications Aids and Strategies Using a tool of technology"
He discussed the lesson smooth and clear he also gave us examples by using the PowerPoint. The do's and don'ts when you are making a ppt presentation. This is the summary of the whole topic.
The following are the tips on making a PowerPoint.
1. Go for creativity
-create your own design
2. Colors are nice
-play with colors
-contrast is your friend
3. Use good fonts
4.text is evil
-let your slide breathe
5. Images save more
-catch people's attention
-make the message more powerful
6. Big is beautiful
-Bold
-catch audience attention
7. Infographics are amazing
-how present information
8. Get inspired
The 10- 20- 30 ppt rules wherein 10 slides are maximum, 20 minutes and 30 point font. Also, our teacher discuss the 9 p's
" prior proper presentation prevents poor performance of the person putting on the presentation "
The next topic is about Communication Aids and strategies using the tool of technology.
The topic contains
*Presentation media - it is a stand-alone presentation that includes information presented with slides video or digital representation.
*Flip chart -helps you achieve the same outcome.
*Handouts - contains relevant information.
*Models- copy of an object usually built to scale the object in detail
*Computer Technology
Digital slides- commonly using ppt.
Real-time web access- use to demonstrate how to do something special on the web.
TIPS AND STRATEGIES
Keep it simple
Emphasize only key ideas
Show what you can say
Use close up shots
Keep the number of images you present manageable
Combine variety with coherence
Use large letter
STEPS IN MAKING EFFECTIVE MULTIMEDIA
Know the purpose of the presentation
Know the audience
Gather information
Use variety of resources
Do not forget to cite resource
Organize information
Check technical issue
Be creative
In the middle of the discussion my teacher told me to stand up to read the next slide of the presentation and he explained it to us.
I've learned that those tools and tips are very useful for a freshman like me. Way back in my high school days, the background for me is just to make my presentation cute but I realized that I'm doing it wrong. The background and the fonts must be balance in order to understand what you want to show in your audience. Before I end this blog I wanted to say thank you to our professor for motivating us and to our student teacher thank you and congrats for finishing your final demo. Happy Teacher's day!
